iDermal: Body piercer implants arm w/studs to magnetically attach iPod as a watch. Really.

by

When we first came across this story, we all said “Really??”

Yes, really.

Body piercer Dave Hurban, from Dynasty Tattoo  in New Jersey, has a love of body art and technology.  He has improbably combined the two by engineering a way to attach his iPod Nano to his arm, allowing him to wear it as a wristwatch.

Hurban implanted 4 small titanium anchors into his wrist, attached 4 magnets to the back of his Nano and, voilà!, a body art creation he calls “iDermal.”

The video how-to is a bit cringe-worthy in a can’t-look-away kind of way, but the result is, we must say, really cool looking.

Your move, Tony Stark.

If implanting your technology into your body is too much of a commitment for you, DisC recommends the Lunatikwatch strap for iPod Nano. :0)
